After all, a daughter couldn’t take over the family business now could she? Especially when that family business was construction. Yes, Patrick Quaid, was old-fashioned and a bit male chauvinistic and made sure he raised his son they way every good, Irish lad should be raised - with a drunken father. Luckily, his father had two able-bodied brothers who, between the three of them, managed to run the company; however they failed to produce any sons to take over, so, Bret was next in line. He got by in high school and decided he not only wanted to run the company but he wanted to get a degree, so he enrolled in college in his hometown of Chicago. In 2008 he relocated to Manhattan to manage and supervise the NYC site. And after a year of successfully overseeing the building plans, Bret made a move to Boston, Mass. in October 2010 and resides in this bachelor pad, on Beacon Street in Boston's tony Back Bay.
